A woman arranging flowers at a flower shop in front of the Maruthamalai Murugan Temple .When I visited the Maruthamalai Temple, I felt the urge to paint a beautiful scene in an oil painting. This is My one of the Favorite painting . Built by Tamil kings during the Sangam period as indicated in the Purananuru, the temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan and is considered the Seventh House of Lord Murugan. The Maruthamalai Murugan Temple’s gopuram (tower at the entrance) and the temple itself, built in the 12th century, showcase Dravidian architecture with intricate carvings and inscriptions, depicting deities and the words “Marudhan” and “Marudhachalam”.
